Linda Cavanagh is the Manager of the AustCyber Canberra Cyber Security Innovation Node, a network of Nodes established in partnership with State/Territory Governments to support and grow the cyber security ecosystem. Linda joined AustCyber in January 2019 and works closely with government, educational institutions and industry to bring together a vibrant and innovative ecosystem for the ACT.
Prior to joining AustCyber, Linda was Head of Policy & Cabinet for the Chief Minister for the ACT, where she steered ACT Government’s policy and legislation agenda towards a more inclusive, innovative and progressive ACT.
In a previous role at PM&C, Michelle delivered the National Security Strategic Risk Framework (the first of its kind in the world) and Coordinated National Security Budget. Prior to PM&C, Michelle worked in several strategy and risk roles across Government, having moved to the public service from the communication and media sector and the food safety segment of Australia’s food manufacturing sector.
Linda also had a successful 21-year career with the Australian Federal Police, having worked nationally and internationally in a variety of portfolios such as Protection, Aviation, Learning & Development, International Deployment Group, Strategic Policy and ACT Policing, with key expertise in the developing complementary criminal justice and social justice policies.
