Ralph Plarre is a 3rd generation baker and architect of the Ferguson Plarre merger in 1980. He’s seen the business grow from 5 stores in late 70’s to over 75 stores in 2019.
Ralph is also an environmental champion and oversaw the design and building of their current baking facility which took out the coveted Gold Banksia Environmental Award in 2010. Having handed over the reins in 2010, Ralph’s sons Steve & Mike now run the family business.
He remains a board member and is incredibly proud of the legacy he’s created at both a personal and business level with his family. Ralph spends 3 months of the year pursuing his passion of cars and camping with his wife Margaret and also has a daughter Lauren who isn’t actively involved in the business but remains very close to what’s going on in the bakery world!
